The inaugural Khelo India Tribal Games in Chhattisgarh has emerged as a landmark sporting initiative, showcasing grassroots athletic talent from across India. With over 3,000 participants representing 30 states and Union Territories, the multi-city event is fostering inclusivity and regional sporting development. Karnataka currently leads the medal tally with 15 gold medals, followed by Odisha and Arunachal Pradesh.

Athletes from Karnataka delivered a commanding performance at the Khelo India Tribal Games, securing more than 20 medals and underscoring the region’s growing influence in Indian swimming. Leading the surge was Manikanta L, who claimed eight gold medals and one silver, emerging as the standout performer of the competition. His achievements reflect not only individual excellence but also the broader ecosystem supporting grassroots sports development.
