Sri Lankan fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana has been officially cleared to return to competitive action after successfully passing Sri Lanka Cricket’s mandatory fitness assessment. Following medical clearance and recovery from injury, he has also been granted a no-objection certificate allowing him to travel to India and join Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for IPL 2026. The pacer is expected to link up with the franchise ahead of their upcoming fixture against Gujarat Titans on April 17.
